Yellow Leaves, Fieldfares and Jay

Lovely walk this afternoon by Rutland water. Bright yellow leaves and chattering groups of fieldfares make you feel autumn is just about to turn into winter. Rutland water incredibly low, everything still very dry and in need of more rain. Ended our walk with a drink at the Finches Arms at the Hambleton peninsula, always a relaxing place to be. Then getting in the car a Jay shot across the yellow leaved trees - blue bar of its wing against the yellow leaves -  just a great image for my work.  I am just about to start a new series of paintings , so the odd Jay or Fieldfare may well appear .
